Boutique recruitment for private households and personal operations, across New Zealand. Built by people who've done the work themselves.
Nest was founded by two people who spent over a decade in yacht crew and private household work before starting an agency for it. Whatever your background, yachting or not, we understand how your skills can translate and how hard that move can be, because we've made it ourselves. We're here to help.
Tell us about the role. We'll come back to you very soon.
Whatever your background — on deck, in the engine room, front of house, or anywhere your skills translate ashore — we'll only ever put you forward for roles that genuinely fit.
Nest was founded by Toby and Alice, partners in life and in business, with twelve years of combined superyacht and private household crew experience behind us.
When we came home to New Zealand we noticed two things; families and workplaces here were struggling to find staff who really understood the standards this kind of work demands, and it was just as hard the other way; finding recruiters and employers who understood how those skills actually transfer ashore. We wanted to fix that. We want to make it easier for you.
That's not limited to yacht crew either, anyone with a background in household management, hospitality, service, or operations — with skills that translate ashore — is exactly who we're here for. Nest exists to close that gap, bringing exceptional people home to New Zealand.
We're deliberately small. One thing, done properly: placing the right people into the right roles.
— Toby & Alice
Every search follows the same considered process, whether the role is straightforward or genuinely hard to fill.
Tell us what you need — the role, the household, the timeframe. No forms to wade through, just a conversation to start.
Before we look at a single CV, we take the time to properly understand the role — the household, the person you need, what's worked before and what hasn't.
We search quietly. Roles are never listed publicly without your consent, and you'll only ever see a short, thoroughly vetted shortlist — never a stack of maybes.
Our work doesn't end at placement. We stay close through onboarding and beyond, because it isn't done until it's actually working.
We're a new agency, but very much open for business. Send us a note below and we'll get back to you personally — usually within a day.
